Driving by it, you would have never really considered stopping there. You might not even notice it! It’s just an older strip of commercial suites, up off the well used track of Market St/Highway 273, right at that “funky” intersection where Angelo goes across and turns into California St. You’ll see a Lao market place, a music store, and, what I feel is one of the best places around to get Thai food, Racha Noodle.
Located at 2630 S. Market St. in Redding, they may not look like much, but their food and portion’s are fabulous. Just look at their reviews on Yelp, if you don’t want to take my word for it, http://www.yelp.com/biz/racha-noodle-redding.
I had the pleasure of eating there for the first time at the end of last year. When a business associate of mine took me there for lunch. And, let’s just say, I have been there many times since – introducing more of my family members to them.
We usually order a couple of appetizer’s such as the chicken satay and fried prawns (which are deep fried with wanton noodles instead of the normal breading, yummy). My children usually get their juicy chicken and rice. My favorite is the pad tai combo. It comes with chicks pad tai and prawns, along with a couple spring roles. And do I want spicy, yes please! Also, before every meal, they bring you a complimentary salad with a peanut dressing.
When you are done, you can pay with either cash or card, and get a couple hard candies in return. There is one thing to give you fair warning about….do plan on coming home with leftovers.
